The objective of Minesweeper is to clear a rectangular grid of cells without detonating any hidden mines. The grid is initially covered with hidden tiles, and the player's task is to reveal all the empty cells while avoiding the mines. The player can do this by clicking on a cell, which will either reveal a number indicating the number of mines adjacent to that cell or reveal a mine, resulting in a game over.
